IT’S OUR DUTY AFTER ALL, TO WORK WITH MOTHER NATURE INSTEAD OF AGAINST HER. TO USE ONLY WHAT WE NEED AND CONSERVE WHAT WE DON’T, THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO BE.
Skyrider Wilderness Ranch, located in Tabiona, Utah -in the foothills of the Uinta Mountains. Over 16,000 acres of piñon pine forests, stunning peaks, and a piece of the Duchesne River. A natural wildlife habitat to a variety of species and has previously been the site of guided elk and bison hunts.
As of September 2021, Skyrider Wilderness Ranch has ended its hunting outfitter practices. Conservation has always been at the core of the Skyrider ranch’s hunts, but now, conservation will move the ranch in a new direction. In a first-of-its-kind partnership with the state of Utah, the ranch has ended its hunting operation and converted the high-fence elk space to be habitat for a nursery herd of desert bighorn sheep, relocated from Nevada.
Skyrider Wilderness Ranch is also home to the 11,000 acre -D. Gary Young Wildlife Sanctuary, a conservation easement, held by The Nature Conservancy. This sanctuary helps support wild elk and deer on their migration path, along with protecting crucial habitats for many other animals.
With every purchase you make, you are supporting our efforts in the conservation and protection of the the Desert Bighorn Sheep.
